Who is lip augmentation suitable for
Lip augmentation is suitable for patients who are unhappy with the volume, shape, or symmetry of their lips. It is chosen by women who naturally have thin lips and desire a more defined look, as well as by those experiencing age-related volume loss and loss of lip definition. The procedure can correct asymmetry, accentuate the Cupid's bow, add volume to the upper or lower lip, or gently lift the corners of the mouth. Lip augmentation method
We perform lip augmentation using hyaluronic acid injections — a naturally occurring substance found in the human body. Hyaluronic acid fillers are temporary (results typically last 6–12 months depending on the product used and individual metabolism) and can be dissolved enzymatically if needed. During the consultation, we will discuss the most suitable product and recommended dose for your case.
The procedure and recovery
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia and takes approximately 30 minutes. Hyaluronic acid is applied using a fine needle or cannula. After treatment, mild swelling, redness, and occasional small bruises can be expected, which typically resolve within 3–7 days. Immediately after the procedure, it is advisable to avoid intense physical exercise, saunas, and direct sun exposure for at least 24–48 hours. The final result is visible once the swelling has subsided, usually within one week.
Results, longevity and safety
Modern hyaluronic acid fillers deliver natural-looking results without an exaggerated appearance. The duration of effect depends on the product used, the area of application, and individual metabolism — usually between 6 and 12 months, after which the procedure can be repeated. Hyaluronic acid is fully biocompatible and can be quickly and safely dissolved with the enzyme hyaluronidase if you are unhappy with the result.
