Eyelid Correction – Blepharoplasty

This is a surgery, during which excess skin and fat prolapses around upper and lower eyelids are removed. It adjusts drooping upper lids and puffy bags under the eyes, and significantly rejuvenates appearance.

The operation is carried out under local anaesthesia of eye environs. Client is awake during the operation.

Incision is performed in such a way for the scars to be hidden in the creases of the eye. During the operation, excess skin is loosened and ablated, fat is removed and muscle adjusted. Finally the whole wound is imperceptibly sutured. After the surgery, eyes are covered with sterile gauze. The operation is carried out as needed: on both lower and upper lids together or separately, and can be done on its own or in conjunction with other facial surgeries. After 5 days the stitches are removed and puffiness under the eyes starts to disappear.

The surgery is outpatient or with a 1-day stay at the clinic under the attendance of professional nursing staff.

Convalescence ca 2 weeks.

Nose Surgery – Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of the nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, it can narrow or widen the span of the nostrils.

Nose surgery can be performed under analgosedation or general anaesthesia, depending on the extent. During analgosedation the patient is awake but is relaxed and does not feel any pain. When general anaesthesia is used, the client sleeps during the whole operation. The surgery can be carried out using open or closed method. Using the open method, the skin of the nose is separated from its supporting framework, which is then rearranged into the desired shape. During the closed method, the incision is made inside the nostrils. To correct the so called “soft nose,” the cartilaginous bottom part of the nose is adjusted by partial removing of deformed cartilages and putting together their remnants. For correction of the so called “hard nose,” the bone hump is removed and the spine of the nose narrowed and brought down. After surgery, an external thermoplastic splint is applied to help stabilize the shape and nasal packs are placed inside the nose. The packs are taken out in 2 days, the external splint in 10 days.

Ear Surgery – Otoplasty

Otoplasty sets prominent ears back closer to the head or reduces the size of large ears.

The operation is carried out under local anaesthesia or respectively under analgosedation, when the client is awake but is relaxed and does not feel any pain.

Incision is made behind the auricle and is invisible after the surgery. During the surgery, the auricle cartilage is exposed and using subtle incisions it is softened and sculpted into the new position and fixated with internal non-absorbable stitches. Then it is covered back with skin and the incision behind the auricle is closed with an absorbable stitch. After fixation, a thick bandage is applied. It is removed in 4 days, and then it is necessary to wear a special headband for 2 weeks.

The surgery is outpatient.

Convalescence ca 2 weeks.

Lip Augmentation

This is a surgery achieving larger volume of lip’s red. It can be carried out by filling with injection materials or by implanting patient’s own tissue (fat) or artificial material (Gore-Tex). Another option is a surgery using the tissue surrounding lips.

Surgery is performed under analgosedation, when the client is awake but is relaxed and does not feel any pain.

During lip augmentation using the tissue surrounding lips, several incisions are made in the area of the inner side of the lip. When filling with injection materials, absorbable collagen or hyaluronic acid can be used; the effect then lasts for half a year at the most and it is necessary to repeat the procedure after that time. Alternatively, it is possible to use Bio-Alcemid preparation with a permanent effect, which will get encapsulated and last forever.

The surgery is outpatient.

Convalescence 1 day – 1 week.

Face-lift – Rhytidectomy

This surgery removes excess loosened skin, respectively excess fat and tightens muscular and ligamentary apparatus.

Surgery can be performed under analgosedation or general anaesthesia. During analgosedation the patient is awake but is relaxed and does not feel any pain.

Surgery is carried out by using so called MACS method (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension Lifting). Incision is made from the above the hairline at the temples downwards, follows the natural line of the front edge of the ear auricle and ends under the earlobe. Excess skin from the cheeks is loosened and removed. For long-lasting results it is also necessary to tighten the underlying muscular and ligamentary apparatus (SMAS lifting). Incisions are closed with intradermal absorbable stitches. A thin tube draining fluids in the first phase after the surgery is inserted under the skin of the neck and cheeks. An elastic bandage fixating face and neck is applied.

Surgery with a 1-day stay at the clinic under the attendance of professional nursing staff.

Convalescence ca 2-3 weeks.
