What is hyaluronic acid and how does it work
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of our body – found in the skin, joints, vitreous humour of the eye and connective tissue. Its main role is intensive hydration and maintaining optimal tissue volume. One molecule can bind up to a thousand times more water than its own weight.
From around age 25, natural production begins to decline significantly. The skin loses volume, elasticity and hydration, and the first wrinkles and hollows appear – particularly under the eyes, at the temples and along the cheekbones.

How treatment works
First comes a free consultation where your wishes are discussed and the doctor assesses facial anatomy and plans the ideal approach. The treatment begins with thorough cleansing and skin disinfection, followed by application of a local anaesthetic cream to sensitive areas. The doctor then precisely injects the required amount of hyaluronic acid. The whole procedure takes 15–30 minutes. You can leave the clinic immediately afterwards and return to normal daily activities.
Aftercare
For the first 24 hours avoid make-up, intense exercise and alcohol. Do not touch the treated area for 48 hours. For 1–2 weeks avoid sauna, sunbed, hot baths and direct sun exposure. Long-term, protect your skin with a high-SPF sunscreen.
