Breast Reduction (Reduction)
Surgery removing excess breast tissue to reduce overly large breasts and relieve physical discomforts such as back and neck pain. The procedure is well suited to women whose breast size limits their daily activities or sport, and who also wish to achieve more balanced proportions. Incisions are made around the areola, vertically down to the breast fold and along the inframammary crease, while the nipple remains connected to the underlying tissue and retains its sensation. Drainage tubes are placed after surgery and removed after approximately 5 days.
